The MG3690B series of broadband signal generators covers both RF and microwave frequencies from 0.1 Hz to 70 GHz. For mmW frequencies, the MG3690B’s coverage can be extended up to 325 GHz or beyond, with external multipliers. Thus, the MG3690B series is an ideal signal source for both RF and microwave requirements, fully configurable from simple to high performance applications.
The MG3690B microwave signal generator series also offers the highest output power, best-in-class spectral purity, and fastest switching speed. For example, the MG3692B can provide guaranteed +23 dBm at 20 GHz with -94 dBc/Hz phase noise at 1 kHz offset while typically switching at 5 ms per point! This level of performance eliminates the need for external amplification, enables the verification the toughest spectral purity requirements, and greatly reduces test times. If 5 ms per point is not fast enough then switch to the optional analog ramp sweep for even faster measurements.
The MG3690B also offers a full suite of modulation capabilities for signal simulations from simple to the most complex. These modulation options include Amplitude (AM), Frequency (FM), Phase (ØM), and Pulse (PM). The MG3690B can be configured to perform these modulations simultaneously via either internal or external waveform generators. For IQ modulation, the IF input option allows the easy up-conversion of an externally IQ-modulated RF signal.

Tektronix SPG300 Video Signal Generator
The SPG600 and SPG300 Sync Pulse Generators provide synchronization and test signals for both traditional analog and mixed digital and analog facilities, in both NTSC/525 and PAL/625 environments. These products are ideal as a stable master sync signal, which is critical in digital broadcast environments. When the SPG600/SPG300 is configured for Stay GenLockTM mode, a momentary loss of synchronization at the genlock reference input will not cause a disturbance in the units test signal and black outputs. When the genlock signal is reapplied, the SPG system will gradually re-acquire lock, causing little disruption in the outputs of the device, and will not cause any noticeable glitches in the outputs of the SPG. The GEN lock source can be NTSC/PAL Black Burst, NTSC/PAL Sync or CW. When using CW lock, the GEN lock timing can be adjusted on all the NTSC or PAL color frames.

Tektronix SPG600 Video Signal Generator

|
Agilent 8780A Vector Signal Generator, 10 MHz to 3 GHz
The Agilent 8780A vector signal generator is a synthesized IF source with exceptional modulation for modern receiver and component testing. It is capable of modulation bandwidths almost 100 times wider than previous synthesizers. It has built-in mapping to simplify generation of common digital modulation formats. Its extra-wide modulation bandwidth comes from a vector modulator that effectively doubles baseband modulation bandwidths for 700 MHz of output modulation. The vector signal generator' wideband modulation is complemented with an unmodulated coherent carrier output for demodulation of test signals. The Agilent 8780A vector signal generator offers a wide variety of modulation using both digital and analog inputs. It generates many standard digital modulation formats like QPSK and 16 QAM and traditional modulation like FM, AM, and pulse. By combining the different modulation types, signals as diverse as Barker-coded radar pulses and Doppler-shifted satellite signals can be simulated. The Agilent 8780A vector signal generator is well suited for receiver measurements where wideband or complex modulations are required. It can be used as a calibrated transmitter to test modern radar EW receivers or communication receivers using vector I/Q modulation techniques. It provides a stable, coherent carrier for pulse measurement. It can also be upconverted if receivers operate at frequencies higher than 3 GHz.

Two models There are two compact models in the series. The Fluke 54100 Video Signal Generator is the obvious choice for testing video circuitry. The Fluke 54200 TV Signal Generator offers additional sound test signals and a highly stable RF output, making it ideal for complete testing of TV sets, VCRs or other related equipment. Both models offer selectable TV standards (PAL, NTSC, SECAM), text functions and a choice of signal outputs. You can choose from a number of readily available pre-configurations, or select an instrument that precisely matches your testing requirements, specifying options from a range of stereo sound, data services and interface functions. You’ll find all details on the separate option and ordering information inserts.
All applications The digitally generated test signals of the Fluke 54000 Series comply with the recommendations of the CCIR, EBU, FCC, ITU and EIA standards for analog television. This versatility, combined with the high signal quality (stability and purity) makes them ideal for testing TV receivers, VCRs, camcorders, observation systems and set-top decoder boxes, and also for checking the performance of individual sub-assemblies or components used in these products.
Easy to Use These generators are excellent examples of Fluke’s reputation for easy-to-use instruments: • Select the main functions directly on the front-panel keyboard. More advanced functions can be accessed using soft keys and the large LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) with its familiar graphical interface. • Accurately set luminance and chrominance amplitudes with the up and down keys or the numerical keyboard. • Store up to 99 different test situation settings for later instantaneous recall. • Finally, to make it even more convenient, a number of country specific settings have been pre-programmed. Just think of the time this will save you.

Rohde & Schwarz SMHU Signal Generator 100 kHz to 4320 MHz
|
Rohde & Schwarz SMHU Signal Generator 100 kHz to 4320 MHz
The frequency can be set with a resolution of 0.1 Hz over the entire range, and this is sufficient even for measurements on extremely narrowband DUTs. Both instruments supply frequencies down to 1 kHz.
R&S®SMGU and R&S®SMHU are ideal for applications which the majority of signal generators cannot handle. In addition to out-of-channel measurements, they are for instance able to determine the spurious rejection of radiotelephone equipment up to 4 GHz as laid down by CEPT. |

Agilent 8663A Synthesized Signal Generator 100 kHz to 2.56 GHz
|
Spectral purity is the key contribution of the Agilent 8663A signal generator, making it ideal for many radar, satellite communication, and phase noise measurement applications. Typical absolute phase noise performance of this generator at a 1 kHz offset is as low as -135 dBc/Hz, depending on the band of operation. The frequency range of the Agilent 8663A is 100 kHz to 2560 MHz. It offers versatile AM, FM, phase (option 002), and pulse modulation using either internal or externally applied modulating signals. A programmable 10 Hz to 99.9 kHz modulation synthesizer provides internal rate generation for all four modulation types and can be swept in either a log or linear fashion. The signal generator also has simultaneous modulation capability. The Agilent 8663A has the U.S. Air Force MATE capability via Option 700. This option is an external translator that allows the signal generator to be controlled by the MATE language, CIIL.
• <-147 dBc/Hz SSB phase noise at 10 kHz offset • 0.1 Hz frequency resolution • AM, FM, phase, and pulse modulation in one generator • Internal 10 Hz to 99.9 kHz modulation synthesizer • Optional MATE capability |
